The EU and the US suspended reciprocal duties for 90 days, opening up space for negotiations. However, Brussels is ready for harder steps if the agreement is not reached.

The next day, the head of the European Commission said that in response to this, the European Union suspended retaliatory duties for imports from the US for 90 days. As she reported then, the EU gives a chance to negotiations. However, if they are not successful, Brussels is ready to accept additional countermeasures.
