The organizers of the next year’s Winter Olympics in Milan and Cortine d’Ampezzo revealed the form of the official torch on Monday. It happened at a double event at the Milan Museum of Art and Troker design and in the Italian pavilion at the World Expo in Osaka, Japan.
The Italian studio Carlo Ratti Associates came up with the design design. The Olympic torch is blue, Paralympic bronze. They are made of recycled aluminum. The torch is traditionally ignited in the Greek Olympia on November 26, the ceremonial handing over in Athens is scheduled for 4 December. It will travel to Italy two days later, reaching Milan on February 5, the day before the opening ceremony of games, AFP recalled.
