Lowa, which is engaged in the production of sports shoes, will end its production in Handlová on 31 August. The company confirmed this for TASR, justified its decision by optimizing production capacities.
“Lowa, part of the Tecnica Group, It is reviewed by its industrial structure to increase production efficiency and strengthen synergy between different companies within the group. In this context, the Handlová plant will end its activities as for 31 August 2025, ”said the company in its opinion, under which President Tecnica Gropa Alberto Zanatta and Lowa Production director Branislav Bernát is signed.
According to her, this decision is part of a wider strategic plan that aims to optimize production between plants, To reconcile technologies and know-how to respond best to the requirements of the global market.
The Company did not specify how many employees will affect its decisionhowever, she pointed out that “in close cooperation with partners she is actively working to ensure the best possible support for the employees concerned, including the opportunity to move to other positions and the responsible transitional process with respect to the workers”.
