Chocolate mousse on a fluffy dough. This is a dessert for every occasion

Chocolate cake duo is a double -layer dessert. His fluffy bottom makes baking filling and very chocolate. The upper layer, which is a delicate and light mousse – literally melts in the mouth. The whole is very balanced, elegant and ideal for chocolate lovers. In the middle of the cream there is some Cointreau liqueur, which is why the cake has a taste of bitter orange.

Ingredients for chocolate cake:

  • 150 g of butter,
  • 150 g of dark chocolate,
  • 5 eggs,
  • a spoon of cocoa,
  • 175 g of fine sugar.

Ingredients for chocolate mousse:

  • 100 g of butter,
  • 100 g of dark chocolate,
  • 3 eggs,
  • a spoon of cocoa,
  • 100 g of fine sugar,
  • 2 teaspoons of gelatin,
  • 50 ml of hot water,
  • A spoon of Cointreau liqueur.

For decoration:

  • a spoon of cocoa,
  • Chocolate sprinkles.

Method of performance:

Prepare a chocolate cake. Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add crushed chocolate to it. Heat the contents of the saucepan on a slow fire, stirring from time to time – for melting chocolate.

Grate yolks with half sugar and cocoa. Combine with the cooled chocolate mass and mix. In a separate dish, beat the proteins to a stiff foam, gradually adding sugar to it. When the foam becomes smooth and shiny, gently, mix it in the mass with chocolate.

Grease a 22 cm cake tin. Put its bottom and side with properly cut pieces of baking paper. Create a edge from paper protruding above the form. The dough will grow hard during baking (cooling down, falling down).

Pour the dough into the mold. Put in the oven preheated to 180 ° C. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool in form.

Prepare chocolate mousseacting in the same way as when making dough, but using an adequate amount of ingredients. After combining the chocolate mass with protein foam, gently mix in with gelatin (dissolved in hot water) and Cointreau (you can replace it with another aromatic liqueur).

Pour chocolate mousse to a cooled cake. Put under cover in the fridge for at least 4 hours. Before serving, sprinkle the cocoa cake and decorate with chocolate sprinkles.
