Last Sunday, April 13, we finished the Brazilian round 3 with two names at the top of the artillery. Interestingly, both foreigners and Rio’s teams: the Uruguayan Arrascaeta, Flamengo, and Argentine Vegetti, from Vasco.
The same April 13 is the date of the anniversary of the biggest of all the top scorers of the National Championship, Roberto Dinamite – is also the day of the birthday of Mama (grateful), the mustache and retired striker Rudolf Völler, the dear Rudi; From Facinora Butch Cassidy, highlighting another type of artillery and which, yes, existed, and no, was not a cat like Paul Newman.
Dynamite scored 190 goals in 22 editions, almost all of the same Vasco as Vegetti. There were 328 matches, with an average of 0.58 per game – or that is, in the number of leves, it would be like eight editions of running points and another shift, approximately. But it was other times, with regulations changing with each edition.
In 1974, the year of Vasco title, Roberto was the top scorer, with 16 goals. However, the team that went to the final against Cruzeiro played 28 games – some less compared to the current system.
Thus, it was expected that in the age of running points, with 38 games for all teams, someone could hit the dynamite mark.
Of course to be the top scorer in Brazil, the boy needs to meet some prerequisites: 1) We need to start to stand out early in the Brazilian, preferably still in the teen age; 2) It can even be sold to some European club, but you need to fail miserably on the old continent to go back to Brazil; 3) Acting in a team other than yo -yo, of those who are always rising and down; 4) Do not have serious injuries.
Dinamite was sold to Barcelona in 1980. He spent only three months at the Catalan club and returned to Vasco in May of the same year.
Of the current players, who most threatens historical artillery is Lil Gabi, once known as Gabigol.
The striker-trascar already has 114 goals and is expected to come in the top 10 of all time-the tenth current is Luís Fabiano, with 116, including some for Vasco, see.
With 28 years and zero prospect of leaving the country – after the failed pass at Inter Milan – the striker would need an average of about 15 goals in the next five championships to reach dynamite. Considering that the boy is also an excellent penalty shooter, the task seems quite feasible.
However, becoming a reserve of a half disarmed cruise does not help. Despite this, Lil Gabi is expected to rhyme at the 158 goals of the historic vice-leader, Fred. But the 190 of dynamite still seem unbeatable.
Round 38 –
Samuel Xavier’s goal in Fluminense’s victory against Santos in round 3 was the last nail in the crate. Pedro Caixinha is no longer with us. With the swag of the Portuguese Mister, now 18 technicians remain, and the score still maintains the local advantage: Brazilians 10 x 8 foreigners.
