Sarah Raissa, 8, inhamed aerosol for a long time to participate in an online “game”
Sarah Raissa Pereira de Castro, 8, died after inhaling aerosol deodorant in Ceilândia, in the Federal District. She was admitted to the Regional Hospital of the Administrative Region on Thursday (10.abr.2025) and had the death confirmed on Sunday (13.abr).
An aunt of the girl shared on social networks that Sarah participated in a challenge in Tiktok that consists of inhaling the product as much as possible. Videos of this nature, usually proposed to children and adolescents, add thousands of views in the application.
She asked people, especially parents of children, to be aware and talk about the dangers of challenges on social networks.
Sarah had a cardiorespiratory arrest. She was revived for about 1 hour, but did not have reflexes and was confirmed cerebral death on Thursday (10.abr). After several exams, the death was decreed on Sunday (13.abr).
According to g1a police inquiry was opened to investigate Sarah’s death at the 15th Police Station. Delegate Ataliba Neto said the police will try to identify those responsible for publication of the “game”, and how the girl had access to the challenge.

It is logical that if the social network of which it had access to the video, we will have to officiate the social network to know and have more information about the creator of the content”He said.
