Influencer is investigated on suspicion of creating betting site to launder illegal games; Company says she is no longer a partner
Federal Judge Israel Almeida da Silva, from the 14th Federal Civil Court of São Paulo, determined on Friday (11.ab.2025) that the Secretariat of Awards and bets of the Ministry of Finance authorizes the operation of Zeroumbet.
The betting house was founded by influencer and lawyer Deolane Bezerra, investigated by the Pernambuco Civil Police on suspicion of creating the site to launder money from illegal games. She got stuck for two weeks in 2024.
Zeroumbet Plataforma Digital Ltda., Which holds the brand, maintains that Deolane is no longer a partner of the business. States that Bet was sold to José Daniel Carvalho Saturnino.
The judge gave 15 days for the company to regularize “Its procedural representation, attaching to the file attorney granted by the new administrator partner, accompanied by updated copy of the social contract“.
Of the more than 130 betting platforms authorized by the Ministry of Finance, about 20 obtained the license through court orders.
The Pernambuco Civil Police say they believe that Deolane is involved in a money laundering scheme that has moved about $ 3 billion.
Zeroumbet was opened by Deolane in June 2024, with capital of $ 30 million. The influencer denies the suspicions raised by the police.
On Monday (14.abr), Minister André Mendonça, of the Federal Supreme Court, his own decision that barred Deolane’s testimony in the CPI (Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry) of the Bets in the Senate.
A week earlier, Mendonça had granted an injunction to the influencer for understanding that she does not need to testify because she is not required to produce proof against herself as investigated by the Pernambuco Civil Police.
