Old building tears in Vienna: an update

Since the start of the Vienna Show Blog in the standard, dealing with existing buildings has been a central topic. Several times it dealt with the house tears and their political, legal and economic backgrounds. In the almost four years – the blog has existed – a lot has changed. As a reminder: the longest time was only protected from demolition -protected buildings and buildings in protective zones. All others could be canceled without prior exam. This has been the case for decades and among changing mayors and coalitions or SPÖ all-cleans.
