The ceremony was held at the headquarters of the Public Defender’s Office and is the result of a partnership between the Institute of Penitentiary Administration (IAPEN), through the Electronic Monitoring Division (DME), and the Defensoria itself.

The selected monitors stood out for maintaining exemplary conduct, participating in regular courses, performing work activities and integrating religious institutions. The initiative aims to value the efforts of those seeking social reintegration through discipline and commitment to resocialization.

During the event, public defender Daniela Alaine Silva Nogueira stressed the importance of recognizing the commitment of the reeducators. “It is necessary to give visibility to those who dedicate themselves to fulfill their obligations and want to rebuild their lives in society,” he said.

The head of the Electronic Monitoring Division, Jonas Joaquim, also highlighted the relevance of the action. According to him, the delivery of certificates follows higher recommendations to implement public policies that strengthen citizenship and promote human dignity.
