The leader of the House PL, Deputy Sostenes Cavalcante (RJ), presented this afternoon the urgent request for the amnesty project with 264 signatures, including the support of deputies of the Government base. The number is greater than the 257 signatures required for the application.
According to the scholarship leader, the change of strategy was due to the news received that the government would be pressuring the deputies of the base. Deputy Helena Lima (MDB-RR) withdrew the signature and Bolsonaro’s allies anticipated other possible dropouts. Previously, the leader expected to gather more signatures to enter the application.
According to Sostenes, the health of former President Jair Bolsonaro did not interfere with the negotiations. “He has already fulfilled the mission. Even his last message before the surgery was about the amnesty,” he said.
The mayor, Hugo Motta (Republicans-PB), who had been negotiating with governors and pockets a way out of the impasse is outside Brasilia and the work of the house throughout this week.

Earlier, PT leader in the House, Lindbergh Farias, appealed through a social network. “This PL (Bill) is not to pacify the country, it is to continue the coup because the attack on institutions remains very violently. The deputy who signs this PL is symbolically depredating the Supreme and all institutions,” he said.
According to the PT leader, “this project is clearly unconstitutional. Let’s get into an adventure like these for nothing, because this project will have no validity. Do you really want to put the legislature in a situation like this, in a crisis?” Asked Farias.
