He attacked again on Monday (14), blaming him for the Russian invasion of his country and blaming him for “millions” of deaths. The US president, who had a public discussion with Zelensky in the white oval hall of the White House six weeks ago, said the Ukrainian shared the blame with the Russian President, who ordered the invasion of the neighboring country in February 2022, and then -US president Joe Biden.

The Republican told the press that there were “millions of dead because of three people.” “Let’s say, Putin number one, but let’s say Biden, who had no idea what the hell was doing, number two, and Zelensky,” he added during a meeting with Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele. Trump then attacks Zelensky again, stating that he is always seeking to buy missiles, referring to the Ukrainian leader’s attempt to arm himself to defend his country from the Russian invasion. “When you start a war, you need to be sure you can win the war,” he said. “There is no war against someone who is 20 times bigger than you and then expects people to give you some missiles,” he added.

Relations between Trump and Zelensky have been tense since the US president surprised the world with negotiations with February. Prior to the televised discussion with Zelensky on February 28, Trump reproduced Moscow’s arguments, blaming Ukraine by war and calling Zelensky “dictator without elections.”
