The former president (PL) has good clinical evolution, but remains without forecast of discharge from the ICU (Intensive Care Unit), according to a bulletin released by DF Star Hospital on Wednesday (16).
Bolsonaro also published a photo of the hospital in the X, where he has strands linked to his body, reading a document.
“DF Star Hospital reports that former President Jair Bolsonaro remains hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), in postoperative follow-up. There is good clinical evolution, without pain, bleeding or other complications,” says the bulletin.
“It maintains motor physiotherapy programming (walking off the bed) and respiratory.
On Tuesday afternoon, cardiologist Leandro Echenique, of the team that serves (), told the Sheet That the former president has “over-than-expected evolution”, two days after having a long surgery on the abdomen.
“It is having an expected evolution. Both by age and the complexity of the surgery, it is considered to be a recovery in these 48 hours above average,” Echenique told the Sheet.
According to him, the urinary catheter was removed. “President is very strong. It helps the fact that he has a healthy -based body, without drinking and smoking, and with a history of exercise,” he added.
Throughout Tuesday, images and videos of the former president were released by walking through the hospital accompanied by former first lady and receiving a massage on her feet.
Declared ineligible until 2030 and defendant in (Supreme Federal Court) on charges of attempted coup d’état at the end of his government, Bolsonaro has been hospitalized in Brasilia since Saturday (12), after being ill at an event in Natal the day before.
On Sunday (13), he went through one for intestinal clearance, a procedure that went well, according to his doctors, and was the longest of those already performed since the former president took the stab in the 2018 election campaign.
Bolsonaro is expected to be hospitalized at least two more weeks and face postoperative restrictions for a period of two to three months.
