A fire destroyed the theater of (Pontifical Catholic University of Paraná) In the early evening of Tuesday (15.abr.2025). According to the Fire Department, the fire was controlled around 8 pm and no one was injured.
The fire began during the jalecos ceremony of a class of medicine, at the Tuca Theater, on the ground floor of the Blue Block. According to the corporation, it was necessary to evacuate the entire university to combat fire.
In total, 220,000 liters of water were used by firefighters during the action, and at least 11 teams were directed to the site to meet the occurrence. The teams still worked on the morning of this 4th (16.abr), to contain remaining flames.
