Tetra-world champion Jeremy Buenia announced on Wednesday afternoon that will officially say goodbye to the bodybuilding stage in this year’s edition of Olympia (most important championship of this sport), which will take place between October 9 and 12 in Las Vegas, a city located in Nevada, United States.
“This preparation will be special. I will train in my own gym (…) I will have my wife and children around every day to remind me why I need to give everything about me. My son is new, but he can say he saw his father compete. It means everything to me,” says the 34 -year -old American bodybuilder through a text published in his official Instagram account.
“I have arranged with several other ‘Olympian’ athletes from the past and the gift about them to come and train with me during the preparation to keep me in the game,” adds the athlete, who also says he wants to “battle against the best (bodybuilders in the world) one time.”
Buenia beat Olympia four times in a row for the Men’s Physique category between 2014 and 2017. In 2018, he fell to fourth position and was only competing again on the most important stage of world bodybuilding in 2023, where he got eighth place.
In addition to the titles and interviews marked by his strong personality, Buenia is known as the main ambassador to Men’s Physique on the planet. His reign was the first observed by fans of the category, which was created at the beginning of the past decade.
