The corporation also states that there is evidence of the use of funds not declared to the Electoral Court to finance candidacies in the 2024 municipal elections.
Part of the investigated owns companies involved in frauds that would have compromised competition in bids in four municipalities of Rio: Cabo Frio, Itaguaí, Mangaratiba and São João de Meriti.
The PF says the investigation is still in progress to identify others involved. If convicted, those investigated can take up to 27 years in prison.
