It is spring, and that means not only the weather change, but also the change of diet. When you say the word chop, you probably imagine a heavy dish. But look at these simple potato chops. They are absolutely perfect, feed you, but you will not feel hard.

Spring is in full swing, the sun shines beautifully and temperatures are finally rising. In the spring, however, with the weather also changes the diet. It eats mainly vegetables, fruits, soups and overall light dishes. Chops are a relatively heavy food that is not much mood in the spring. What she eats a lot in this period is potatoes. Therefore, some culinary genius thought to combine pleasant with useful, and invented a recipe for potato chops. They are cheap, simple to prepare and extremely tasty. It will feed you sufficiently, but you will not be difficult for them, which is an absolute ideal for spring.

Potato chops

Take five medium -sized potatoes, do not peel them, but wash them thoroughly under a stream of hot water. Put them in a pot and bring to a boil. Boil the potatoes at a high temperature until they are soft. If you are unsure, it can help you stick a wooden stick in the potatoes. If no part of the potatoes get stuck and will not scrub anywhere during the puncture, you know that the potato is nicely soft and inside. Strain, let cool, and then peel them.

Place the peeled potatoes in a larger bowl. Now it is time to add a large dose of spices. Throw 2 teaspoons of salt, 2 tablespoons of Garam Masala, which is a strong Indian spice, 2 tablespoons of coriander, 2 tablespoons of black pepper and 10 finely chopped coriander leaves. Crush everything with a fork and mix properly. The mixture should be more or less lumps and smooth to be subsequently shaped.

Now shape medium -sized patties with a thickness of about 2.5 centimeters from the potatoes. Then wrap the individual pancakes just as you do with cuttings. Once you have potatoes wrapped, put them aside for a while. Heat the pan on the middle flame and add about 2 tablespoons of oil. Then fry potato chops before they are nicely colored on both sides. And you’re done. Just let them cool down a little and serve with a dip according to your taste. Bon appetite!
