Put 2 cubes in the bread. Bread will be like a stove for many days

Each of us likes to eat a sandwich with fresh and fragrant bread, removed straight from the oven. However, it happens that even a freshly bought loaf is stale after a few hours. Fortunately, there are several proven ways to extend its freshness. There are two basic issues that should be followed when storing bread. First, protect the bread in such a way that it does not dry out, and secondly – protect them from too much moisture. One of the ways that will help extend the freshness of bread is to place two sugar cubes in the bread. Well, sugar cubes effectively absorb excess moisture from the environment, thus preventing mold. Thanks to this simple treatment, the bread will remain soft and tasty longer.

How to store bread so that they are fresh for a long time?

As I mentioned earlier – by ensuring the right conditions, we can effectively extend the freshness of bread or rolls. First of all, it is worth paying attention to what our breadmaker is made of. It should provide air circulation, protecting bread from drying and mold. Ceramic or wooden breads are the best. Bread should be wrapped in a linen or cotton cloth. Natural fibers allow bread to breathe while protecting it from drying out. Also, freezing bread is a great way to storage bread for a long time. Cut it into slices or into smaller pieces, wrap it tightly with cling film or put in a string bag and freeze. Frozen bread can be stored up to 2-3 months. Before consumption, thaw it at room temperature or in the oven.

What to avoid while storing bread?

If you want bread to keep your freshness as long as possible, avoid these things:

  • Do not hide bread in the fridge, because it is the worst place to store bread. Low temperature causes the bread to hurt quickly.
  • Avoid closing the bread in a plastic bag that stops moisture, which promotes the development of mold.
  • Do not expose bread to direct sunlight, because the sun dries bread and causes the loss of its taste.
