Anvisa (National Health Surveillance Agency) decided, on Wednesday (16.abr.2025), make it mandatory to retention medical revenue for the sale of so -called slimming pens such as Ozepic, Saxenda and Wegovy. The measure was taken at the 6th Ordinary Meeting of the Collegiate Board.

The drugs analogous to the hormone GLP-1-which, among the functions, regulates satiety-were already classified as red stripe. For Anvisa, there were indications that these drugs are bought with few requirements, both in physical pharmacies and in applications.
At the meeting, the lawyer and researcher at the USP Health Law Research Center (University of São Paulo) He stated that 45% of people who bought some weight loss medicine did not have a prescription.
