Good Friday is a time of reflection, mute and abstinence from meat foods for many Poles. If you also sleep and are looking for an idea for vegetarian dinner, prepare vegetarian stuffed cabbage.

When they appear on the table, all household members will be delighted. From the recipe below, they come out so tasty that it will be really difficult to resist so as not to take at least one addition.

Do you know that Stuffed cabbage is one of the best dinners for Good Friday? Of course, not so traditional, but in a meatless version, e.g. with mushrooms, because they perfectly match cabbage. You only need a few basic products from the market to prepare them.

Recipe for vegetarian stuffed cabbage – ingredients:

  • Italian cabbage – 1 head
  • Mushrooms – 300 g
  • Rice – 250 g
  • Onion – 2 pieces
  • tomato concentrate – 2/3 tbsp
  • dill – 1 bunch
  • pepper and salt
  • clarified butter

Preparation of vegetarian stuffed cabbage for dinner on Good Friday is not complicated at all. Start by rinsing the rice and cooking it according to the instructions on the box. This usually has to be done a quarter of an hour.

Burn the cabbage first, and then separate the leaves. The next important step is to cut the mushrooms (mushrooms or other chosen pieces), cubes and chopping of dill.

Fry the onion in the hot clarified butter, add the mushrooms, and when the water evaporates from them, simmer for another 5 minutes. Then season your stuffing with spices and dill, remove it from the heat and wait until it cools down.

Mix with rice and arrange the finished stuffing on the cabbage leaves so that stuffed cabbage is formed. Transfer vegetarian stuffed cabbage to the pot, pour vegetable broth And cook for a few minutes. Add tomato paste, season and simmer for 15 minutes. Enjoy your meal!
