The mother company of social networks announced earlier this week that all public content in its platforms, except for the WhatsApp private messaging service, would henceforth used to train their AI models unless people oppose.
For that, a Notification will inform users Europeans of this new policy and will provide them with a connection to a self-execution form by May 27 and can always be completed after the date.
The information concerned is, in particular, publications, photographs and their subtitles, comments published under them, as well as requests and questions Submitted through Messenger to Meta AI, the conservation robot available since the end of March in the European Union (EU).
How to reject the goal request
Users can go to the settings of your Instagram account or Facebook, access the privacy center and follow the indications in the “AI in the Goal” section to send an objection form. Here’s the steps on Instagram:
1. Access the definitions in the profile, in the upper right corner, in the three bars.
2. Go below the “Privacy Center” and, in the “Privacy Topics” section, to access the “Ia na Goal”.

Also according to the French news agency, the company also specifies that this objection will also be applied to all accounts linked to the one used to send the form. However, it warns that it may continue to treat information about users who have expressed their refusal in certain situations, namely when their information appears in a publicly shared image or is mentioned by another user.
This change should not affect accounts under 18, nor the private messages of adult users.
