NBA: Mavericks lideram e eliminam Sacramento Kings no play-in

Dallas Mavericks kept their trip to live playoffs with a 120-106 win, eliminating the host, Sacramento Kings, in a Play-In game of the West Conference on Wednesday night (16).

Now the Mavericks visit the night of Friday (18), for the last play-in match of the West. The winner guarantees eighth place and will face the first place, Oklahoma City Thunder, in the first round.

On the MAVS side, the highlight was Anthony Davis, who recorded 27 points, nine rebounds and three blocks, while Klay Thompson scored 23, PJ Washington had 17 points and nine rebounds, and Brandon Williams made 17 points from the bank.

Demar Derozan recorded 33 points and seven rebounds, and Zach Lavine added 20 points and nine assists for the Kings Sacrament, Domantas Sabonis added 11 more points, 13 rebounds and five assists for the Kings.

The match marked the 10th time Davis played for Dallas since he was purchased from Los Angeles Lakers in negotiating with Luka Doncic. More recently, Davis had to deal with one.

Thompson hit 8 out of 11 throws, including 5 of 7 three points, in a higher performance than last season’s play-in round against Sacramento.

Dante Exum added 11 points, which hit 49.4% of the blocks and hit 14 of 28 throws of three points.

The Kings committed 18 turnovers, converted 46.1% of their Field Goals attempts and converted 13 of 33 of three points. Devin Carter scored 10 points from the bank.

Sacrament lost 23 points in the break and did not react to the rest of the game. When Davis converted to do 107 to 85, just before half of the fourth period, making it clear that the Mavericks were on their way to staying alive.

Thompson scored 16 points in the second period with perfect throwing – including four three -point baskets at a 3:03 range – while Dallas ran to score 44 points on his way to an advantage of 71 to 48 in the interval.

Derozan scored 13 points in the first half for the Kings, who committed 12 turnovers in the first half compared to just three for the Mavericks.

The game was tied for 29 points before Dallas was able to open an advantage of 14 points.

Davis hit baskets of three consecutive points for the final points of the first half.

After the pivot wing convert another three-point basket to do 80 to 54, with 8:31 left to the end of the third quarter, the Kings scored 10 straight points. But Dallas took advantage of 99 to 81 to the last quarter.
