The striker Neymar again felt pain in his left thigh and cried during Santos x Atlético-MG, this Wednesday (16/04). The star was in the first game as a starter after injury to the same thigh, a problem that pushed him off the fields on March 2.
Neymar will do image tests this Thursday (17/04), but it is likely that the star will be out of combat for at least another month.
The scale of posterior muscle distension in the thigh goes from 1 to 3. Grade 1 lesion is the lightest, while grade 3 lesion is the most severe, involving a complete rupture of the muscle.
Normally, the recovery time for a mild to moderate degree stretch is two to six weeks, while a more severe degree stretch can take six to 12 weeks for a complete recovery.
Neymar’s contract with Santos only goes until June 30. There are conversations in progress to expand the bond until June 2026. The player is currently 33 years old.
