A shooting that occurred on Thursday at the Campus of the State University of Florida has left several injured and at least six people have been transferred to a nearby hospital, according to a medical center spokesman. Healthcare Memorial Tallahasee was receiving and treating, at least one critical, said Sarah Cannon, hospital spokesman. For their part, the authorities have arrested a suspect, but have not given more information about it.
Ambulances, Fire Trucks and Patrol vehicles of multiple police agencies quickly headed towards the campus, located west of the capital of the state of Florida, after the university issued an active shooter alert on Thursday at noon, indicating that the police were responding near the Student Center.

Hundreds of students fled in the opposite direction to the Student Center. The students were glued to their phones, some visibly excited, while others hugged. Dozens of people gathered near the music school waiting for news.
Joshua Sirmans, 20, was in the university’s main library when, he said, the alarms that warned of. The agents of the forces of the order escorted him already other students outside the library with their hands on the head, he said.
