A ship with 25 people aboard, sank on the coast of a province of the western Philippines, leaving four dead and seven missing. The information was confirmed by the Philippines Coast Guard (PCG) this Thursday (17).
The “Draga” vessel, used to remove sediments and debris from the background of rivers, lakes and seas, wreck on April 15 in the waters of the western coast of Mindoro Island.
The so -called MV Hong Hai 16 was carrying 2,000 liters of lubricating oil and 30,000 liters of diesel and containment efforts were used to avoid oil leakage, PCG said in a statement.
On Thursday (17), they recovered two more bodies during search and rescue operations, raising the death toll to four, according to the Coast Guard.
There were 13 Philippine and 12 Chinese crew members on board. PCG reported that six Philippines and eight Chinese were rescued.
