A video showing a fire tree in the middle of the Amazon rainforest drew attention on social networks. The recording shows the fire coming out of the trunk in an seemingly spontaneous phenomenon. The case raised curiosity, but also raised many doubts among netizens.

While some point out the possibility of the presence of natural gas as a cause of fire – a rare but possible phenomenon in specific regions – most comments questions the veracity of the video. Many suggest the use of alcohol or gasoline to cause the fire, even claiming that the noise of a blowtorch in the background is heard. Still others criticize the fact that no one filmed the beginning of the flames or showed the tree completely, which increased distrust.
There were also those who take the situation with humor, saying that the tree p’Odoria replaces the gas cylinder. In the midst of play, more serious criticisms came about possible damage to nature, use of digital assembly and even spiritual theories involving the phenomenon.
