Who will make Trump's "golden summit"? Musk is in front, of course

Companies with longtime contracts with the US government, such as BOEING and LOCKHEED MARTIN, are also competing to build “Golden Dome”

Spacex, Elon Musk’s company, will give back in view, this time not by sending rockets to the space, but because it is on the front line to build a crucial part of the new United States anti -session shield, known as.

The idea, promoted by Donald Trump, aiming to create an advanced technological defense that could function as a military “umbrella”, should be able to intercept missiles before they reach the US territory.

According to six sources close to the subject, Cited by Spacex is leading the race, but is not alone: it has joined the Palantir, known for its ultra-seaman software solutions, and the Andrair, a company that specializes in drones and defense technologies.

The consortium led by Musk’s company is competing with several other companies in the sector – more than 180 – including giants such as Boeing and Lockheed Martin, which have historical contracts with the US government. In addition, several defense startups, such as Epirus, Ursa Major and Armed, are also trying to secure their place in this ambitious project.

Consortium proposals include the construction and launch of a constellation between 400 and 1,000 satellites, with the aim of detecting missiles and monitoring their trajectory. These satellites would be an essential part of what is known as the “layer of custody”, the system component responsible for identifying and following missiles that may represent a threat. This part of the system is already being designed by Spacex, which estimates that engineering and design cost can vary between $ 6 and 10 billion.

Still, there are those who question whether Spacex and its partners will be able to fulfill what is needed for a project of such magnitude.

Although the Pentagon has already shown interest in the involvement of the Spacex company in the project, the decision is still in the early stages and may change.

The US Department of Defense provides that the first parts of the Antim Suissil will be delivered by 2026, with the following steps to be delivered by 2030. The final decision will be up to US President Donald Trump, based on Pentagon recommendations.
