Dorival Júnior will be Corinthians coach for the sequel to season 2025. The former coach of the Brazilian team agreed with the board and will sign the contract on Friday, 18.

The coach was the plan A of the Alvinegra Board and the risk of losing it to competitors weighed on the resignation of Ramón Diaz, 21 days after the winning of the São Paulo title.
Dorival and football director Fabinho Soldado had already worked together in Flamengo.
Ramón has not said goodbye to the athletes so far, as he commanded the morning training on Thursday, 17, and was fired when the cast had already left the CT.
Dorival Júnior, 62, has a trajectory for the rivals alvinegros in the state. He was champion of São Paulo for Santos in 2010 and 2016. He won the Brazil Cups of 2010 for Peixe, and 2023 for São Paulo. He was also a Palmeiras player and directed the team in 2014.

In a year in office, the coach won seven wins, seven draws and two losses, with a use of just over 58%in 16 games. Brazil scored 25 goals and conceded 17.
