China attracted 269.23 billion yuans (US $ 36.88 billion) in foreign direct investment (IED) between January and March 2025, a value 10.8% lower than in the equivalent period of last year, according to data from the country’s Ministry of Commerce.
In the first three months of the year, 12,603 new companies with foreign investment were established throughout the country and, in March, the actual use of foreign capital increased by 13.2% over the previous year.
