Four people died on Thursday and one was seriously injured after a cable car collapsed in Naples, southern Italy, due to a Cabo partythe Italian authorities advanced.
The five people involved in the incident are four tourists and a company employee who manages the infrastructure, the entity Autonomo Volturno (EAV), highlight the sources of security to the EFE agency.
One of them was seriously injured – the driveraccording to local media – and was immediately taken to Naples Maritime Hospital by a helicopter of the Alpine and Speleological Rescue Body (Cnsas).
The initial report of the tragedy confirmed three dead and one missing but shortly thereafter, the latter was found dead on the slopes of the mountain.
What happened
The accident occurred after one of the cable cables that connects the Italian city of Castellamare di Stabia, near Naples, to the summit of Mount Faito, at an altitude of more than 1,100 meters on the banks of the Mediterranean Sea, having broken, according to initial reports.

It is not the first accident in this cable car
This is not the first time this cable car has had an accident. The most serious accident occurred in August 1960, when, due to a human failure, a cabin fell after failing, causing four dead and 31 injured, according to local media.
