Rui Rocha accused André Ventura of wanting to bring the country “to bankruptcy”, while the leader of the arrival condemns what he says are “wild privatizations” of the liberal initiative.
André Ventura, Lead of Arri and Rui Rocha, from the Liberal Initiative (IL) debated at RTP3 the suspicions involving Pedro Nuno Santos, Health, Immigration and Economics.
Admitting that the case involving the socialist leader “is different” from Luís Montenegro’s, the arrival leader considers that he does not stop generating “a certain apprehension”, because once again there are politicians “buying real estate as if they were candidates.”
“Politicians can have heritage, can be rich, have life and have professional life. What they cannot begin to enrich when they are in the exercise of public functions. And when things arise have to clarify quickly and effectively.”
Rui Rocha hopes that Pedro Nuno Santos will have the same “criterion of demand” that he puts to others with himself. Because if you have to give explanations, “namely the question of the funds you got and how you got them.”
Bring the private to the NHS
Regarding health, André Ventura guarantees that his party is not giving up the National Health Service (NHS), but argues that this will only be possible with the help of the private.
“We are not interested in whether health is public or private,” as long as it reaches everyone, he argues.
Rui Rocha explains that the model proposed by the liberal initiative is different from all other parties, with access to private, public and social subsystems to the choice of users, according to the available offer and “the assessment that make the quality of the service”.
Immigration with rules or quotas
For André Ventura entry of immigrants is one of the main factors to put stress in the NHS and Rui Rocha agrees that it is a factor to take into account.
“What does IL say” immigration with rules and dignity. Who has work enters, who fulfills the law is. “
This although the country needs active workers, he says. “Obviously we do not want the economy to collapse, but we want a direct relationship between needs and entries.”
In addition, IL advocates the extending number of years necessary from which nationality can be obtained.
André Ventura accuses the opponent of never being concerned with this issue, because he voted against the quotas for immigration.
“There is a need, but with quotas. Quota is regulation,” argues the arrival of arriva Rui Rocha disagree – “this is another question.”
Rui Rocha opposes that there was already proposals on immigration in the 2024 program. As for the question of the quotas, he says, shows “the idea of the state direction of André Ventura.”
Understanding on the right?
The arrival leader says that, since he has a chance to win these elections, he hopes to be able to rely on the right parties, in particular with the liberal initiative.
The answer is not positive: “There is no possible understanding”
“Never, never, at any time will IL enable any government of the PS. With regard to arrival, we have to assess the behavior of the arrival in this legislature. There are a set of things that demonstrate that the arrival has a socialist vision and that has not improved.”
He voted against the privatization of TAP and in favor of salary ratios proposed by the free, for example, points out.
The right price
“I do not make a program possible (…) that provokes a bankruptcy of the country (…) Come from where to come,” reinforces Rui Rocha.
“It became the PSD wanderer,” answers André Ventura. “IL wants wild privatizations of our economy,” such as TAP and CGD, condemns.
“Rui Rocha wants to say goodbye, we want to cut the fat of the state.”
André Ventura accuses Rui Rocha of not worrying about the real country, and does not even know how much a dozen eggs are currently costing. The question is returned to you: how much does it cost? “It’s very expensive,” says Ventura, eventually enumerating the prices of various products he had pointed to on a list.
With “IV – Tax Ventura”, the Portuguese would pay much more, returns Rui Rocha.
