Ants can walk the path calmly across the wall, inviting children and all their friends. In a moment you have a bambillion at home. They also like to settle in pots with plants. Is it possible to get rid of them?
He will, but it is often a fight. There are several ways to get rid of ants from pots using various tricks and natural substances.

Replant
Perhaps the most effective method is to move the house plant straight away. Remove the existing soil, gently rinse the roots from the soil residues and plant in a new substrate. But beware. Pay attention to the type of soil, as ants like to play in clayey, lighter soils, because they make it easier to create tunnels, which then march almost their entire colonies.
Drought
Study if a plant whose soil is occupied by a band of ants can handle for some time without water. If you find that the plant is more resistant to drought, do not water and allow the soil to dry. On the contrary, for those plants that do not need so much water or not so often, irrigate more often. The point is that when changing the soil environment in this case none or more water, ants lose their comfortable residence and disappear.
Cinnamon
Usually a simple and easy solution who would not have cinnamon at home. And if he did not, then it costs a few crowns, it is still easier to use than transplanting. Here, however, the experience of fighters against ants is divided into two camps. One says that neither ground nor cinnamon in the form of sticks does not work. The second camp has the opposite experience. Experts proclaim that it depends on the type of ants who settled in the pot. Try and see. Just pour a little directly into the pot or on the attic around the plants outside.
Herbs
What ants hate is the smell of herbs. So for us it is a smell, for ants odor. These include rosemary, mint and lavender. One of the professional gardeners advises ants to move the attacked flower pot to the place in the garden where you grow these herbs. Or if the ants settled in a pot of houseplants, it is advisable to build pots with lavender, mint or rosemary around it.
