Spectators in I love Slovakia and thanks to the talks a little differently with Adela I It takes the world of exceptional people who inspire others with their originality. It invites personalities who excel in an extraordinary approach to life. She talked about her Easter.
What did Easter look like in your childhood? Do you remember a smile?
I remember one cheerful story, although I no longer remember who it was – I think uncle. Instead of water or cheap fragrances that some men used for a joke, he took hairache. I think this is a truly original way to “fix” the memory of the gallows.
For some time, my sister and I grew up in Germany, where Šibačka does not exist at all. Instead, we were looking for Easter eggs – in the kindergarten and everywhere else. I enjoyed it very much, especially the search itself. And I think that today these habits are quite nicely connected in our country – one finds something, then it will make it quite well.
Do you carry some of the habits to your family now?
In my childhood, my father was always the father, as we were women – mom, sister and me. However, he was always a bit of a defensive in this role, rather more submissive. He came up with a kind of little mug and subtly scored us – it was never harsh or “on the crash”. And although I like traditions, I think they should have their culture, and my father has always managed it nicely.
Today, When we have a little Maxík, I don’t even remember the other Easter. At the moment he is addressing questions rather than “why it is night when it’s day”, so she does not understand women yet. We do not want to confuse it unnecessarily, so we are just dealing with it symbolically – for example, by finding eggs. When he grows up and knows how to distinguish the tradition of violence, we will gradually familiarize him with it.
Do you have any unusual Easter customs you have in your family?
I think we don’t have any exceptional Easter customs. For example, such a custom is that we do not blow eggs or do not paint them. We often put a raw egg from the refrigerator with a shabby, so we have it so natural.
And do you decorate the Easter household?
I admit that I am not a big fan of decoration. I like when the household is thematically decorated – I like it with others, especially during Christmas, when everything shines and shines. But in our home it hinders me a little. Decorations make me feel the feeling of clutter – I think they are “unnecessary items” that do not have a specific function.
Moreover, the only thing that follows is that I have to postpone them later – and where? They take up space. So in this we are rather minimalist at home. I admire the decoration with others, but in our home I avoid it.
Can you imagine Easter somewhere abroad or is it a holiday for you when you want to be at home?
I admit that Easter I don’t have as firmly fixed as Christmas. I once enjoyed them abroad – it was a gift for my parents to relax and not have to worry about anything. We were in a beautiful hotel and it was very pleasant. However, I see Christmas as a greater oasis of peace – I think most people feel it that way. At that time, society will be more silent and stopped. Easter is different for me. Although it is an even more important Christian holiday, I did not have such a strong personal relationship with it.
I have perceived more intensely in recent years Also thanks to my mother -in -law, which works in the leading position of the Evangelical Church of Augsburg Confession in Slovakia. Thanks to it, we experience more spiritually – for example, by participating in the service of God. Otherwise, however, I remember that Over the past years, it has often been filmed during Easter – both on Good Friday and Easter Monday. On TV, these holidays are not so strict, so I do not see them as a period that would be exclusively domestic or relaxing.
How does work affect Easter plans? Can you enjoy at least a moment of peace?
I have peace – I don’t work so much. At present, however, it is not so much about Easter, but about being in parental fashion. I am not on parental leave, but I am at a time when my child needs me the most. Therefore, I set up a mode in which I have four fixed working days in the month, plus sometimes some smaller trips or small things. Easter plays a minimum role in this – this year I will be completely free. On the other hand, my husband will work.
If you could take the Easter holidays of dreams, what would they look like? Would you relax on an exotic beach or would you rather experience any adventures in an unknown place?
What adventures? Holy peace!
