The Russian army pushed the Ukrainian forces from one of the last villages that were under control in the Kursk region in the west of Russia. This was announced on Saturday by the Ministry of Defense in Moscow, TASR informs, referring to world agencies.

The ministry said the Russian troops again conquered the village of Olešňa on the border with Ukraine. According to the state media, intensive fighting continues to push the Ukrainian forces from the village of Gornaľ about 11 kilometers southern, which is the last under the control of Ukraine.

These claims could not be verified immediately independently, the AP stated that the Ukrainian officials have not yet responded to the report.

The Ukrainian army began a surprising offensive in the Russian Kursk region last August. She managed to occupy more than 1,000 square kilometers of territory, but Russian troops conquered large parts of the area in March and now they are at the border, while in recent weeks they have already attacked the neighboring Ukrainian Sumi region, AFP recalled.

The Ukrainian air forces announced on Saturday that Russia had sent 87 explosive and bait Drooonv last night, 33 of which were shot down and 36 were lost, probably because of the use of electronic struggle.

According to the Ukrainian authorities, Russian attacks were damaged by farms in the Odessa region and caused fires in the Suma region. The injuries did not report. In Kharkov, the destination of the drone was residential areas, said Mayor Ihor Terech, according to DPA. The fire after the drone attack broke out in the city of Zaporožie.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported shot down two Ukrainian drones on Saturday night. A representative of the Kursk region informed about the drone attack on the vehicle in which the woman died and the injury suffered a child.
