PRFs that died in an accident will be buried on Saturday

Vehicle with Carlos Eduardo Macedo, Rodrigo Fraga and Diego de Figueiredo hit a passenger vehicle during persecution of motorcyclists

The 3 agents of the Federal Highway Police (PRF) who during a persecution on Friday (18.ab.2025) in Rio de Janeiro will be veiled and buried on Saturday (19.abr).

  • Carlos Eduardo Mariath Macedo: It will be veiled at 12 noon at Jardim da Saudade Cemetery in Rio and buried at 15h;
  • Rodrigo Pizetta Fraga: will be veiled at 12:30 pm in the Garden of Saudade and buried at 3:30 pm;
  • Diego Abreu de Figueiredo: It will be veiled at the São João Batista Cemetery, also in the capital, from 14h, and buried at 4:30 pm.

The accident took place during a persecution of motorcyclists on Avenida Brasil, height of Vicar General, North Zone. The car hit a passenger vehicle. The 4 police in the car were thrown. Only one survived.

Already passengers of the passenger vehicle survived and had minor injuries. The motorcyclists fled.

PRF Director-General Antonio Oliveira decreed on Friday (18.abr) 3-day official mourning.

Who are the victims

Diego Figueiredo joined the PRF in January 2022 and was packed at the 6th PRF police station in Rio de Janeiro. He was 47 years old, married and leaves 1 son.

Carlos Mariath entered the institution on February 21, 2017, with a capacity at the PRF police station in Duque de Caxias. He was 41 years old, married and leaves 2 children.

Rodrigo Pizetta had been part of the PRF since September 2012 and also worked at the Duque de Caxias police station. He was 47, he was married and leaves a daughter.
