The Body of the Tourism Student at Bruna Oliveira da Silva, found dead in a parking lot in Itaquera, in the east of São Paulo, was buried on Saturday morning (19) at Vila Carmosina Cemetery. According to the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP), the episode was recorded as suspicious death in the 24th DP (Ponte Rasa), which “performs steps in support of DHPP (Department of Homicides and Protection of Persons) to clarify the facts and identify the authorship”. Authorities did not say if there are suspects or hypotheses for a possible crime.

According to the police report, Bruna’s body was found only with intimate costumes, which may suggest the occurrence of rape. The young woman’s mother also said that she was her best friend and the person she could count on. “She said to me: ‘Mother, studies, and doesn’t depend on anyone. Studies and works.’ All I got in my life was she pushing me. And now? Who’s going to do that?” He told TV Globo.

A friend recalled from Bruna recalled her concern for people around, with social causes, and dedication to her son. “She revolted a lot, if she was sensitized with cases of violence against women.
