The Sieniawa commune is located in the Sandomierz Valley, located in south-eastern Poland. It is from the areas of the Sieniaw region that a traditional cake comes, i.e. Syrnik with Krupami. In the past, housewives came up with this delicious and healthy dessert, which could be done cheaply and straight, with few ingredients that were available at the time.
An unusual baking is a combination of dough and buckwheat mass. To make a dough, you need to combine flour, butter and baking powder. Traditionally, from a part of a decorated and rolled out dough, the stripes are still cut into a decorative grille. In turn, cheese, eggs, butter, potato flour, salt and buckwheat are useful to prepare the cheese mass. Porridge – a unique ingredient in this dessert – first burns.
The fluffy mass is poured onto the bottom, until the top is covered with a grille from the dough strips. The rest of the so -called Krup from buckwheat. Syrnik is baking to browning. It comes out plump and unique in taste.
Ingredients:
Cake:
- 320 g of wheat flour,
- 200 g of butter,
- 100 g of powdered sugar,
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder.
Cheese mass:
- 1.5 g of cottage cheese,
- 10 eggs,
- 180 g of butter,
- 3 tablespoons of potato flour,
- a pinch of salt,
- 90 g of buckwheat.

Method of performance:
Prepare the cake. Pour the flour and powdered sugar into the kitchen robot bowl. Add finely chopped butter and grate the whole to obtain the consistency of wet sand. Then grate the whole in your fingers until a smooth and flexible dough. Divide them into two balls. Roll out into a cake with a diameter of about 22 cm and put it with a cake tin with the same dimensions greased with butter. Put the second ball in the fridge. Prick the bottom in a cake tin in several places with a fork and put in the oven set to 180 degrees Celsius for 10 minutes. Remove and cool.
Prepare a cheese layer. Pour the porridge with boiling water and set aside for several minutes. Strain. Proteins separate from the yolks, and dissolve the butter and cool. Grate the yolks with sugar until smooth. Gradually add ground cheese, butter, potato flour, salt. Mix, then pour in half the buckwheat and mix again. Beat the proteins stiff and gently mix the mass into the cottage cheese. Pour the whole into the baked bottom.
Roll out the second ball of dough and stumble on stripes. Make a truss on the surface of the dough, and pour the remaining buckwheat between the grilles. Burnt the egg in a bowl and smear the stripes on top of the cheesecake.
Put the dough in the oven set to 160 degrees Celsius and bake for 60-70 minutes, until the center is slightly vibrating.
Syrnik with krupi remove and leave to cool completely before cutting.
