The McLaren driver called the Jeddah circuit as a difficult clue. “When you lose your pace, it’s hard to go back. It’s hard, for sure, but at night, with soft tires and high grip, it’s one of the best clues.” George Russell, from Mercedes, wide in third position and even had the provisional pole before being surpassed by Pastri and Verstappen at the final moments of classification training. “Third place is great place to start and a long race tomorrow.”
