The teenage phenomenon Vaibhav Suryavansi became the youngest cricket player to participate in the Indiana Premier League (IPL) when making his debut for Rajasthan Royals on Saturday (19), only 14 years old and 23 days old.
Suryavansi, who opened the royals batting against Lucknow Super Giants, immediately scored six points on his first move, to the delight of the crowd that crowded the Sawai Mansingh stadium in Jaipur.
He ended up scoring 34 points in 20 balls before being eliminated by Rishabh Pant after an Aiden Markram throw on the ninth entrance, ending a partnership of 85 races that shared with Yashasvi Jaiswal in the first Wicket.
When Suryavanshi left the field, the television cameras caught him wiping a tear, perhaps taken over the greatness of the moment. IPL is the most profitable sports competition of and one of the largest alloys in the world, valued at $ 12 billion in 2024, according to the Reuters.

Even the CEO of, Sundar Pichai, congratulated Suryavanshi for his debut, posting at X: “I woke up to see an 8th grade student play at IPL !!!!
Despite the historic day for Suryavanshi, the royals succumbed to a distressing defeat by two runs against Super Giants.
“It was important to give Vaibhav the opportunity when the right time presented itself and I think today was the day,” said Siraj Bahutu,, Bowling coach at Rajasthan Royals, after the game.
“Vaibhav is a great boy with a good head. He has practically a 360 -degree game. He is brave, brave and always wants to master. He doesn’t care much about those who are throwing him. His philosophy is to see the ball and rebut the ball,” he concluded.
Before making his debut, Suryavanshi had already made history last November as the youngest player to have his rights bought at the IPL auction.
