Technologies for their creation are moving through leaps and soon it can be almost impossible to reliably distinguish reality from fiction. How to navigate and protect from manipulation in this new world?
Although there are technical methods for detecting Deepfakov, it is a constant struggle reminiscent of the game of cat and mouse among the creators of the supporters and defenders, explains the artificial intelligence expert Michal Gregor.
It points out that Deepfake (the name was created by joining the words Deep Learning and Fake) is already used not only for innocent entertainment or in the film industry, but also for The spread of misinformation, cyberbullying, fraud or creating a false pornographic content.
