“Frankstein”, convicted for over 60 years in Espírito Santo, wants to serve a sentence in Acre

Owner of a criminal record of the most extensive ever recorded in the history of fugitives capture in Acre territory, former naval lift sought for theft of strong banks and cars, as well as other crimes in Espírito Santo, Erasmus Sérgio Alves, known as “bald” and “Frankstein”, wants to return to Acre.

This is what he said in commenting on defense lawyers when asking to serve his sentence in the local prison system.

Erasmo Alves, 52, was sought after justice since 2017 and was arrested in Rio Branco in 9 at the Tangará Set, in Rio Branco where he lived in good home and with an unsuspected standard of living. He introduced himself as an entrepreneur in the branch of purchase and sale of luxury vehicle, being the owner of several cars of this nature.

The defense also denies that he was on the run, but serving a sentence in open regime for crimes committed in the 1990s.

After the arrest, the Acre Institute of Penitentiary Administration (IAPEN-AC) reported that it began dealings with the prison of Espirito Santo to be transferred, but was still awaiting a court order, which, until yesterday, Saturday (19), had not been issued.

Lawyer Monique Pereira Volff, who acts in the defense of the prisoner, justified the request that he serving time in Acre informing that Erasmo Alves built a life in Rio Branco, and therefore does not want to be transferred. The lawyer said her client has family and friendship ties in Rio Branco.

The arrest was possible after the police of Espírito Santo made contact with the Narcotrafficking Police Station (Denarc) warning that Erasmo Alves had been hidden in Acre for years. He lived in a luxury house in the Tangará Set, presented himself as an entrepreneur and identified himself as Gustavo Sérgio Alves.

In the house, police seized the false documentation used by the accused, between identification documents, vaccine wallets, bank cards, among others.

“There were several bank accounts, we seized several credit cards and we will continue investigations to prove other crimes, including capital washing,” confirmed delegate Pedro Paulo Buzolin, who coordinated the operations that resulted in the capture of the wanted.

Denarc’s chief delegate Saulo Macedo revealed that Erasmo has been sentenced to more than 60 years in prison, in added penalties. He had two open arrest warrants. Also according to the delegate, the criminal developed some activities in the car business in the Acrean capital. According to investigations, after leaving the Navy, he started training cronies of trafficking.

Police intelligence points out that Erasmo Alves was a key piece in interstate trafficking, including transporting drugs to Espírito Santo. “In addition to hiding here in Rio Branco, he also continued to keep criminal activities, including drug trafficking,” he concluded.

The arrest of the former naval helicopter was supported by a helicopter from the Integrated Air Operations Center (Ciopaer) and teams of the Special Operations and Resources Coordination (Core). In addition to bank robbery, the accused has police pass for homicides, kidnappings and drug trafficking. According to police, he was convicted of stealing money from a Caixa Econômica Federal agency.

“Ciopaer has monitored everything from above. Operation takes a high hazardous person. Thanks to the planning, he even tried to evade, but was soon contained by the police,” said the coordinator of the Specialized Special Criminal Investigations (Deic), delegate Pedro Paulo Buzolin.
