The dogs of the First Lady, Hope, Resistance and Paris received identification microchips linked to the new National Domestic Animal Register. The measure is part of the government program aimed at identifying domestic animals. The initiative allows us to register pets in an official government base, with an animal ID and vaccination history.
In a video published on social networks on Thursday (17.br.2025), Janja presents the procedure through a playful narration, as if done by the animals themselves. “Today we will receive a microchip. Are you prepared?”Asks one.”Chip? Is it eating?Hope answers. To what the other replies: “It is a chip that will allow them to always know where we are, no matter how far we run!”.

The chip is implanted under the skin through a needle. The microchip number is linked to the new official register and can be recorded at the leash, allowing the animal to identify and access to the information about the tutor and the vaccination card if the animal is lost.

The (National Domestic Animal Register System) in a national database, an instrument to promote ethical population control of dogs and cats, encouraging responsible guard and the fight against abandonment and cases of abuse.
The initiative, along with Propatinhas (National Program for Protection and Ethical Population Management of Dogs and Cats), was launched on Thursday (17.abr) by the President (PT). With the system, dogs and cats can have an animal ID, with a unique identification number, valid throughout the country. The issuance of the card is free and can be done through the Sinpatinhas website.
