Police are investigating the fire of the multifunctional building that occurred on Sunday night in Fiľakov. The investigator initiated criminal prosecution for the offense of damaging a foreign cause, nor was foreign fault excluded. This was stated for TASR by the spokeswoman of the Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Banská Bystrica, Mária Faltániová.
“On Saturday (April 19) around 23.00 HZ so far undetected reasons occurred a fire of the pension building on Hlavna Street in Fiľakov. In the fire, the entire upper floor and the roof and also the equipment and things that were in these areas burned. The owner suffered damage to assets of more than 250,000 euros, ”said Faltániová.
In the fire of a multifunctional building called Central, which in addition to the guesthouse also includes commercial operations, There were 26 professional and 12 volunteer firefighters from several districts of the Banská Bystrica region.
