Maria Christina Buarque de Hollanda was born in the city of São Paulo, in 1950. FHistorian Island Sérgio Buarque de Hollanda and pianist Maria Amelia Buarque de Hollanda, was also sister of Brazilian singer Chico Buarque, Miúcha e Ana de Hollanda.
