“Foreign soil”: Festival days of memory of Naziopfer

An interesting sentence by the Spanish philosopher George Santayana was preceded by the “Foreign Earth” festival: “If you don’t know the past, you are condemned to repeat it.” In this respect, it is essential to keep in mind how unpleasant people became the victim of National Socialist tyranny. The series of foreign earth is also explicitly devoted to the “pinned music” and starts in the St. Ulrichs church with musical memories of the Viennese composer Erich Zeisl, who managed to emigrate to the United States in 1938.
