International leaders react to the death of Pope Francis

Pope was 88 years old and faced health problems

Leaders from various countries lamented the death of the death on Monday (21). He expressed her condolences in the X. “Rest in peace, Papa Francisco,” the US presidency published.

The president of, Emmanuel Macron, also spoke about the importance of Francis for the world. “From Buenos Aires to Rome, Pope Francis wanted the Church to bring joy and hope to the poorest. To unite human beings with each other and with nature. May such hope resurface perpetually beyond him.”

Indian Prime Minister said that “Pope Francis will always be remembered as a lighthouse of compassion, humility and spiritual courage by millions of people around the world.”

Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni said the news of death saddened her. “We lost a great man and a great pastor. I had the privilege of enjoying his friendship, his advice and teachings, which were never missing even in times of trial and suffering,” she said.

The president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, also highlighted the achievements of Pope Francis. “The world laments Pope Francis’ departure. He inspired millions, far beyond the Catholic Church, with his humility and so pure love at least fortunate,” she published.
