The president of, (-PB), will receive this Monday (21) a tribute from the governor of Minas Gerais, (Novo), and will participate in the event to remember the 40th anniversary of the death of former President Tancredo Neves.
The events are the first of Motta after the informal one week’s recess instituted by the home. During Easter Week, the House held only virtual sessions and the commission meetings were canceled. The absence was interpreted by allies as in order to be guided by the amnesty project to the coup acts of January 8, 2023.
Motta will return the agenda of public events to receive tribute promoted by Zema. The governor will grant him the “great necklace”, delivered by the government of Minas Gerais to heads of state and other powers. The honor was created in 1952 by the then governor Juscelino Kubitschek and had as the last awards the former presidents () and ().
The event will be in Ouro Preto (MG) and will have more than 150 honorees, with different levels of prestige. Among those who will receive the “big medal” are federal deputies, the president of the local court, military, businessmen and the commander of the Navy, Marcos Sampaio Olsen.
After this act, Motta will participate in São João Del-Rei (MG) in the tributes to former President Tancredo Neves, the first civilian president elected after 21 years of the military dictatorship (1964-1985) and died on April 21, 1985. The mayor will go to the event at the invitation of the deputy (PSDB-MG).
