Minister meets with representatives of Huawei and Byd before Lula’s trip to the country
The Minister of Mines and Energy, (PSD), fulfilled this Sunday (20.ab.2025) a strategic agenda in China to attract investments in electric mobility, batteries and data centers to Brazil.
The 1st meeting was in Shenzhen, at the automaker’s headquarters. Silveira met with Oscar Su, vice president of the company in Latin America, to discuss the expansion of the electric car market and the production of batteries aimed at stabilizing the Brazilian electrical system.
“Our country brings together unique conditions to lead this process, with a majority electrically clean and growing technological potential”said the minister.
Then Silveira visited the headquarters of, where he met with Hou Jinlong, president of the Digital Power Division, and Li Yangming, responsible for the oil and gas sector. During the meeting, the minister stressed the importance of this year as a milestone for the modernization of the energy sector.
“We want to boost partnerships that make the Brazilian electrical system more modern, clean and efficient, highlighting the role of batteries in the stability and reliability of our matrix”these.
Preparation for Lula
Silveira’s visit is prepared for (PT) to China, scheduled for May 12. The president will participate in the meeting of the CELAC (community of Latin American and Caribbean states) and should meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping.
According to the calculation of Poder360the purpose of the meeting is to reinforce the international dialogue on the defense of democracy and expand trade relations between Brazil and China.
