The accused are pointed out as responsible for the “action management” to make the coup plan. According to investigations, the group would have worked in the articulation and use of the public machine – such as the Federal Highway Police – to interfere with the electoral process, especially hindering the access of voters to the ballot box in the second round of 2022.
The complaint against the group was filed on February 18 and includes crimes of attempted violent abolition of the Democratic Rule of Law, attempted coup d’état, involvement in armed criminal organization, qualified damage and deterioration of overturned heritage.
The analysis of the complaint, initially scheduled for the end of April, was rescheduled for the 22nd and 23rd of this month. If the ministers accept the play presented by PGR, the accused will become defendants in one of the most serious investigations involving the surroundings of former President Jair Bolsonaro.
