Trump expects Ukraine and Russia to close peace agreement this week

United States President Donald Trump said on Sunday that he expects a peace agreement between Ukraine and Russia later this week. In a publication on the Truth Social platform, he said that with the end of the conflict, the two countries can start doing big business with the American nation.

“I hope Russia and Ukraine will close this week. Both will start doing big business with the United States, which are thriving, and will gain a fortune.”he wrote.

On Friday (18), the politician even stated that if there were no advances in the negotiations, mediated by him since early January, after assuming the presidency. He did not specify deadline.

“I don’t have a specific number of days, but we want to do it fast (close a deal),” Trump said in statements at the White House. “If, for some reason, one of two parties make it very difficult, let’s just say, ‘You’re foolish. You’re horrible people.’ And let’s move on.”

In just over three months in office and dialogues with both countries, Trump fell out so much with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

In early March, which led the US to suspend for a few days the sending of military aid to the country – the partnership has already resumed. No peace in Easter

Zelensky claims that Russia only simulated a peace intention and continued to perform artillery attacks. The Russian Ministry of Defense, on the other hand, said the Ukrainian forces fired on Russian positions 444 times, and accounting for more than 900 Ukrainian drone attacks.
