Vladimír Országh will lead the Slovak hockey team as the head coach at the World Championships 2025 in Sweden and Denmark. The baton takes over after Craig Ramsay, who does not allow the current health after lung inflammation to participate in the championship, he said.
“Unfortunately, today we did not get messages that we wanted to hear. Craig’s treatment is not over, it will last a few weeks. For this reason, doctors have told us that his participation in the World Championship is not possible. Vladimír Országh will fully take over the competences of the head coach, ” said the general manager and chief of the SZĽH Miroslav Šatan.
The management of the representation with Craig Ramsay regularly communicates. At the beginning of the week he was also visited by the current coaching crew in the hospital, together they took over the course of the preparation and the quartet of preparatory matches, which the national team played in Switzerland and at home in Piešťany against Germany.
